The Reviews
There are not a lot of reviews online for the Soleus Air DP1-30-03 30-Pint Portable Energy Star Dehumidifier but the few that we were able to find were pretty good. One reviewer calls this machine “quite the workhorse” because they’ve had it running continuously for an entire summer in a location where it rained almost every day. Several people state that it does a really good job of pulling moisture out of the air and that it is easy to use.
One negative comment that was shared by a few reviewers was that the machine is a bit noisy. It’s not something you’re going to want to run in your bedroom when you’re trying to sleep.
One reviewer stated that the humidistat does not detect the humidity correctly and that the machine thinks that the humidity is at 50% all the time, because of this it runs constantly. This comment comes from only one reviewer and it is possible that they received a product with a slight defect. There is no way to know if this is a problem with the Soleus Air DP1-30-03 in general or if this person received a unit with a defective part.
Another complaint by one person was that the collection bucket is too small and has to be emptied twice a day. To be fair this product is marketed as a small, portable dehumidifier so the fact that the collection tank is small should not have come as a surprise.
Overall, the reviews for the Soleus Air DP1-30-03 are good however, there simply are not that many reviews online and more reviews would be helpful in making an educated decision about whether to purchase this product or not.
